Bruce Camp's Local Fishing Report Oct. 11th Edition

KOSA The retirees fished Lake Wylie last week with Ronnie Humphries taking the win, fishing solo, with 8.0. He also had the big bass of the day with a 2.75. Fred Wright and Ken Johnson took second with 4.75 and were followed by David O’Shields and J R Henry with 4.15. This week, it is back to Lake Norman.

TPWD's recent electrofishing survey at Lake Stamford showed that largemouth bass, bluegill and gizzard shad populations are holding their own, in spite of a water level that has been dropping since 2010.

Avid angler Stewart reels in biggest Bass yet

TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Tony Stewart enjoyed one of his best days fishing with Johnny Morris. On a lake in Texas, the three-time champion of NASCAR's top series hooked dozens of bass, including a 12-pound largemouth that remains the biggest the driver has ever caught. Morris needed four attempts before was finally able to corral the thrashing creature in a net and drag it aboard the boat.
